"I paint because it makes me happy. I started painting about ten years ago and ultimately found a wonderful teacher who encouraged, prodded, pushed and guided me in developing as an artist. I allow the canvas to talk to me and tell me where to go. If a painting doesn't feel right at first, I just keep going until it does. I love color and am not afraid to be bold and take chances. When things become routine, I get bored. I always look for ways to keep things fresh and new. This is why my art is constantly changing and evolving, it is a work in progress. "
